Air Quality Monitoring with Laser Systems

OraVentis technologies is aiming to market a solution that uses a laser system (LiDAR) developed by the National Optics Institute (INO) to assess airborne dust concentrations within a several-hundred-metre radius. Thanks to its high image resolution and scanning mechanism, LiDAR provides three-dimensional mapping of dust clouds, particularly in highly industrial areas.

OraVentis tested its solution at the Port for a year. These tests gave them the chance to check their data against that of existing stations and draw on the Port environmental team’s expertise.
