Green Marine
Since 2008, the Port of Québec has served as a founding member of Green Marine, an ambitious environmental program for the Canadian and American marine industry. It is a voluntary program with the following primary objectives:
- Improve the marine industry’s environmental performance through a continuous improvement process
- Build strong relationships with seaway stakeholders
- Heighten understanding of the marine industry’s activities and environmental benefits
Green Marine is a rigorous, transparent and inclusive initiative that tackles priority environmental issues based on 12 distinct performance indicators. Each year, every Green Marine member must measure its performance on a scale of 1 to 5 according to the different performance indicators.

See our results in the voluntary evaluation program, listed as the Québec Port Authority.
