CALL TO USERS – APPOINTMENT COMMITTEE

GROUP C

Under section 4.23 of the Québec Port Authority’s letters patent, an Appointment Committee consisting of Port users is responsible for nominating at least three (3) candidates for each of the four director positions representing Port users within the Board of Directors when one of these positions becomes open. The Appointment Committee shall consist of nine (9) members including four (4) from Group A, three (3) from Group B and two (2) from Group C, as these groups are defined below:

• Category A Users who have a lease with the Port of Québec and who pay annual fees or royalties of more than $733 024 to the Port, as indexed (election of 4 representatives on the Appointment Committee).
• Category B Users who have a lease with the Port of Québec and who pay annual fees or royalties between $73 303 and $733 024 to the Port, as indexed (election of 3 representatives on the Appointment Committee).
• Category C All other users (election of 2 representatives on the Appointment Committee)
• Definition of user – Section 5 of the Canada Marine Act: “in respect of a port, means a person that makes commercial use of, or provides services at, the port. (utilisateur)”

The Québec Port Authority is calling you to a meeting of Group C users to elect two (2) representatives to serve on the Appointment Committee.

This call arises from the fact that the mandate of two (2) of the four (4) directors representing Port users, Mr. Edwin Bourget and Mr. Denis Desbiens, will expire on May 08, 2021.

The meeting will be held at the following time and place:
Date: January 25th, 2022
Time: from 11:00 till 11:30 a.m.
Place: Visioconference
