The project involves building a one-kilometre promenade around the park\u2019s edges, a public plaza, and an observation deck, as well as efforts to restore the riverbank and create fish habitats. The park is expected to open to the public in the summer of 2027.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<div class=\"item block-quote component-block-quote\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"block-quote__container container\">\n\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"block-quote__element\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"block-quote__text wysiwyg\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Our partnership with Juv\u00e9nat Notre-Dame stems from a shared desire to help citizens enjoy this incredible slice of nature. By supporting this project, the Port of Qu\u00e9bec is deepening its commitment to the community and to enhancing the waterfront. Not only is the announced contribution substantial, but when combined with the support provided by the City of L\u00e9vis, the Minist\u00e8re de l\u2019Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changeemnts climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs, le Minist\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00c9ducation, and the partners of our major fundraising campaign, it enables us to secure the full funding required to carry out the shoreline rehabilitation work and the development of the riverside promenade. This work, along with the removal of a portion of the land, will create 2,700&nbsp;m<sup>2<\/sup> of fish habitat\u2014the equivalent of two Olympic-sized swimming pools\u2014which in turn will support the restoration of riparian ecosystems and the improvement of biodiversity in the area.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-heading js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-h3\"><strong><strong>About the Port of Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>The Port of Qu\u00e9bec has a 15-metre water depth and is strategically located in the heart of the Great Lakes market, allowing Canadian businesses to maximize their economies of scale for their imports and exports.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>It has links to more than 40&nbsp;countries and supports nearly 12,000&nbsp;jobs nationwide. It also handles over 26&nbsp;million tonnes of goods annually, representing more than $15&nbsp;billion in commercial value.
