(P&amp;H). The project primarily involves adding two silos behind the existing facilities on the land leased by the partner in order to improve storage capacity, as initially envisaged by the former tenant.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>In accordance with its obligations under the <em>Impact Assessment Act<\/em> (IAA, 2019), and as a federal authority, the QPA will conduct a Level\u00a02 analysis of the notice\u2014required for projects with a potential for moderate adverse social and environmental effects\u2014through its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portquebec.ca\/en\/environment\/impact-assessment-and-mitigation-process\/\">Impact Assessment and Mitigation Process (IAMP)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>The IAMP is a formal process to:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assess projects\u2019 environmental effects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Examine their potential impacts on land use and the community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify appropriate mitigation measures if necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>The process also includes mechanisms for informing and consulting stakeholders, including citizens, local organizations, and Indigenous communities, in accordance with applicable requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>At this stage, the notice of project is simply an initial filing; it is neither an authorization nor an approval of the project. Future reviews and discussions will document the project, assess its impacts, and identify the issues raised by the community.
