He has been a member of the Board of Directors since October 20, 2022, and currently serves as Chair of the Governance, Talent and Culture Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. He will contribute his expertise and strategic vision to support the organization&#8217;s ambitions for the future.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Fran\u00e7ois Amyot has a law degree from Universit\u00e9 Laval, is a member of the Barreau du Qu\u00e9bec, and is Vice-President of Investments and Chief Legal Officer at HDG. He officially began his new role on February 13.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<div class=\"item block-quote component-block-quote\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"block-quote__container container\">\n\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"block-quote__element\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"block-quote__text wysiwyg\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It&#8217;s an honour to take over as Chairman of the Board of the Port of Qu\u00e9bec and continue contributing to its development. Having been a member of the Board for nearly three years, Fran\u00e7ois has a sound knowledge of the organization, its strategic advantages and its challenges. Michel Biron is a seasoned leader in the information technology field. Meanwhile, Carl Gauthier has a solid background in management and governance, having held key positions in major public and private organizations. Our two new members already sit on the boards of several organizations. We welcome them and wish them every success in their new roles.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-heading js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Port of Qu\u00e9bec<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>The Qu\u00e9bec Port Authority, a non-profit organization, manages the Port of Qu\u00e9bec which is strategically located to serve North America\u2019s industrial and agricultural heartland. This Canadian hub for international trade for both imports and exports is the only port in the province of Qu\u00e9bec with a fifteen-metre water depth at low tide and a comprehensive intermodal infrastructure.
