Qu\u00e9bec City, December 10, 2025 – The Port of Qu\u00e9bec is coming alive to offer an unforgettable winter experience. With a diverse program and exciting new attractions, the port area is becoming a must-visit destination for citizens and visitors seeking discovery and fun.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

These projects are part of our 2035 Vision, which emphasizes community engagement, optimizing port area development, and creating spaces dedicated to the population.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Discoglace: A Festive Skating Rink<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n

Starting December 20, experience the Discoglace of the Port of Qu\u00e9bec, a brand-new outdoor skating rink featuring lighting and lively music. Skate under vibrant lights to rhythmic tunes that change according to themed evenings. A unique and exciting experience for all ages!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Village Nordik: Ice Fishing in the City<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n

On February 7, the Village Nordik of the Port of Qu\u00e9bec will open its doors, transforming the Louise Basin into a true winter wonderland. Ice fishing, family activities, and a cozy chalet will be available to provide citizens and visitors with a memorable winter experience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

New Permanent Technological and Educational Experiences<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n

Coinciding with the start of the winter season, the Port of Qu\u00e9bec is laumching the first phase of its new network of interactive kiosks. These modern tools will provide an immersive experience into port operations and the maritime world, accessible to everyone with rich and captivating content.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Winter Cruises: A Historic First<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

In January, the Port will welcome winter cruises for the first time, offering a rare opportunity to discover the beauty of the frozen river and the snow-covered city. This new initiative is expected to attract an international clientele and enhance Qu\u00e9bec’s reputation as a winter tourist destination.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

About the Port of Qu\u00e9bec<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n

The Qu\u00e9bec Authority, a non-profit organization, manages the port of Qu\u00e9bec, which is strategically located to serve North America’s industrial and agricultural heartland. This Canadian hub for international trade for both the import and export of goods is the only port in the province of Qu\u00e9bec with a fifteen-meter depth of water at low tide and a comprehensive intermodal infrastructure. The Port facilities generate 12,000 jobs and about two billion dollars in economic activit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

With its 2035 Vision, the Port of Qu\u00e9bec aims to be recognized by citizens for the responsible management of its territory, respect the environment and protection of biodiversity while positioning itself as a world leader in establishing sustainable supply chains for a more resilient economy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
