Please apply through this person.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-heading js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-h5\">Customers and suppliers of Port of Qu\u00e9bec users and companies operating at the Port:<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Applicants must receive written authorization from the company in question and send it to the QPA\u2019s Security Officer. It will be given to the applicant upon presentation of two (2) official and valid pieces of identification, such as:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Driver\u2019s licence;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health card;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passport;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government-issued photo ID;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pass from another Canadian port.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>The QPA reserves the right to refuse to issue a pass if it believes that the motives of the request are illegitimate or insufficient.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-heading js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Port Pass: Regulations in brief<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Under the Marine Transportation Security Regulations, anyone who is required to work in restricted areas, as described in the QPA\u2019s security plan or in the security plans of Port users, must obtain a pass.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>The pass is a piece of ID that must be carried by anyone wishing to enter a restricted area. Transport Canada requires the holder to wear it at all times, and keep it visible on clothing and above the waist.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-columns js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The pass cannot be loaned out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If a pass is lost or stolen, the holder must notify the Port of Qu\u00e9bec immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Port Pass may not be used for any purpose other than the holder\u2019s official duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The pass cannot be altered or otherwise modified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No one may receive a pass without prior authorization. The QPA\u2019s Security Officer is responsible for assessing exceptional cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Security Officer or company representative is responsible for taking back any pass that has become useless for any reason whatsoever and returning it to the Port of Qu\u00e9bec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Companies doing business in the Port that require passes to access a restricted area may pay for passes for all their employees after making arrangements for payment, mailing, and return of the passes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Security officers for Port users who hold security certificates may include the distribution and return of employees\u2019 and suppliers\u2019 Port Passes in the user\u2019s security plan. In this case, they will take legal responsibility for the passes. Port Passes will be sent directly to the user\u2019s security officer once they have been produced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An applicant for a Restricted Area Pass 2 (cruise services with security clearance) must contact their employer or <a href=\"mailto:poste.controle@portquebec.ca\">poste.controle@portquebec.ca<\/a> for the procedure to apply for a transportation security clearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once the security clearance is granted, the Port Pass holder will receive a new pass indicating their clearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The holder agrees to comply with all applicable laws and Qu\u00e9bec Port Authority regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please refer to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.portquebec.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/NQ-10-Droits-de-securite-et-de-surete.pdf\"><em><u>Safety, Traffic and Port Pass Regulations<\/u><\/em><\/a><em> for more information.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-heading js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Returning Port Passes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Port Passes that have become useless must be returned to the Port of Qu\u00e9bec so they can be cancelled. Port Passes remain the property of the Port of Qu\u00e9bec at all times. They must be returned on request.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-heading js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Suspension and seizure of Port Passes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Port Passes will not be recognized as valid after expiry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Passes that are unused for six (6) months will be automatically suspended, and holders will be required to prove their need before having them reactivated (at no cost).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any person caught fraudulently using a Port Pass will have it seized immediately and a formal complaint will be sent to the QPA Security Officer and Transport Canada\u2019s marine security.
