In its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portquebec.ca\/en\/about\/2035-vision\/\">2035 Vision<\/a>, the Port of Qu\u00e9bec states its intent to innovate and make its mark on the world by focusing on several objectives:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-list js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Becoming a hub of innovation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborating to establish a smart economic corridor on the St. Lawrence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Being an integral part of Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s innovation network by developing concrete partnerships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping an international perspective<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-heading js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vision and commitment<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-columns js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>The aim of the Lighthouse innovation lab is to solve increasingly complex challenges while stimulating innovation. Traditional methods leave little room for innovation, and cannot easily respond to complex challenges like improving community relations or reducing the environmental impact of operations. These new challenges call for a set of innovative solutions, which need to be found, tested, and implemented.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>As such, the Port of Qu\u00e9bec has committed to making its infrastructure, expertise, contacts, opportunities, and challenges available to encourage innovation and take on these issues.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p class=\"is-style-text-large\">Ultimately, it hopes to facilitate the implementation of innovation projects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"item wysiwyg component-paragraph js-anim js-anim-scroll-top\"  ><div class=\"container\">\n<p>To this end, a dedicated innovation unit will contribute directly to advancing projects by acting as a technological showcase, a first customer, or an innovation tester.
