PORT OF QUÉBEC RECOGNIZED AS EMPLOYEE RECOMMENDED WORKPLACE

02/13/2019

Québec, Wednesday February 13, 2018 – The Québec Port Authority (QPA) has been recognized as an “employee recommended workplace” in the third annual Employee Recommended Workplace Awards. Presented by Morneau Shepell and The Globe and Mail, the annual Employee Recommended Workplace Awards named QPA as one of a select group of 75 Canadian organizations to earn this outstanding distinction in 12 different business categories.

The Employee Recommended Workplace Award recognizes excellence in achieving a healthy, engaged, and productive workforce. It is the only award of its kind that is based entirely on feedback from employees. Employees of participating organizations complete a confidential questionnaire in which they assess their overall health (physical and mental health, workplace, and personal life). The assessment is also a helpful HR management tool, since it gives each business a way to evaluate the health of their workforce (including strengths and areas for improvement) and adapt their planning accordingly. The winners in the 12 award categories will be unveiled on March 19 at the The Globe and Mail Solving Workplace Challenges Summit in Toronto.

“We’re delighted to have been shortlisted from the many Canadian businesses out there. The health and well-being of our employees has always been a priority at the Port, and the human resources team works very hard to provide an enjoyable working environment,” said Mario Girard, president and CEO of the Port of Québec.
