Since 2003, Béton Provincial has operated a terminal for the importation of cement in Section 27. This is the only cement terminal along the St. Lawrence. In addition to a wharf that can be used to accommodate Panamax-type vessels and substantial storage capacity (75,000 tonnes or 7,480 square metres), the terminal is well served by highways and railways in order to serve its markets. Béton Provincial also has mixing facilities that can be used to add value to imported cement.
